As a professional dancer in NYC, I always supplemented my income with teaching, which led me to pursue my Pilates certification at the Kane School. The insights I gained were invaluable—not only for my own dance and yoga teaching, but also for understanding anatomy and function, which helped me stay strong and injury-free during long tours. Fast forward 15 years, and after retiring from dance, I opened my own Pilates and therapy studio and became an Offsite Training Center for the Comprehensive Mat training. They say you don’t really understand something until you teach it, and this has never been more true for me. Dissecting the material through the eyes of my students has reignited my passion and love for Pilates. The experience of teaching and seeing others grow is immeasurable. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Kane/Kinected community. The material is thorough, clear, and well-organized, making it easy to integrate into any studio’s offerings. Mat and Kelly are incredibly supportive throughout the process, and I couldn’t recommend becoming an OTC more. It’s a chance to continue learning and remain part of a family that is deeply committed to the quality and integrity of Pilates education.
